I am pleased to present the one-and-a-half-day 2019 summer course on "Molecular, Clinical & Population Bases of Cardiovascular Disease and Health" that I have been teaching in collaboration with the UIMP for more than 20 years. The contents are carefully reviewed in each edition to ensure they include the latest advances in cardiovascular research. The 2019 edition will be held on July 15 and 16 thanks to the support of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
The course is aimed at medical cardiologists and residents of cardiology who are especially interested in research and in the awareness of the latest scientific advances. Participants from other related medical specialties and scientific researchers in the cardiovascular area will also be welcome. The participant capacity is limited. Priority will be given to participants under 40 years of age.
The course has been appraised from the beginning as the best in the entire Summer Courses Program carried out by the UIMP. In 2017, it was moved to the town of Cardona (Barcelona), which is very committed to cardiovascular health. The course will be taught in English with simultaneous translation into Spanish. As in 2018, we will have the collaboration of the "American College of Cardiology" and the scientific endorsement of the CNIC. The Spanish Society of Cardiology has accredited the course and accreditation has been requested in continuing education by the Spanish Ministry of Health.
The program, registration and additional information can be found on the website: www.VFusterCourse.com.
